what do you guys run for chain case lube and how often do u change it?
In all my other sleds i run Klotz graphite chaincase lube and id like to in this too.

I use a good synthetic 75w90 gear oil, which happens to be the same as my truck's differential. 14k km, everything in my MP's gearcase is still original.

I've heard of people also using ATF because it's thinner (for top end speed).

75w90 seems really thick, most specialized chain case lubes are 30wt.

I use the Yamaha oil. It's reasonably priced and I know it works.

I use a semi synthetic 75W90. Both semi and full synthetic 75W90 oils are considered "Arctic" oils and are approved for cold weather use. Most 75W90 oils have a pour point (just like the names suggests, it pours) of more then -40 so use in snowmobile chaincases should'nt be an issue. Also, my owners manual recommends 75W or 80W oil for use in the chaincase.
