Changin oil Apex GT Yamalube or Mobile 1 ????

Captain high miles here;
Goin to change oil before the season starts and had first service done at 500 now have 1500 and want to know if I should stay with Yami or how bout Mobile 1? Your thoughts, thanks.

You could switch to Mobil one @1500 miles. It will be fine.

actually per mobil one ...you can run any engine from zero miles on...no waiting for ring set...o.e.m. on many autos from the factory...
I had planned on running mobil one as well..
I did some searching on oil testing....and was shocked to see the results...after my investigation...it's only royal purple for me..

I like Mobil 1, I use it in everything, can get it at a lot more places than Yamalube.

Agree with MrKnapp, 1500 you are fine.

I wanted to use Royal Purple, but the local rep fell aslep at the wheel, and never deliverd it to my Yammy dealer. I don't wantto get started using something that I cant get ahold of in a pinch. I went with Mobil 1 0w30. I can get it just about anywhere.
I changed it from Yamalube @ 1100mi.

Had a friend talk with Bruce Schrader and someone else said Mobile 1 bad news.

They claim it's too fine and can cause premature seal failure and voids warranty, is this true?

I have been hearing about the supposed seal issue for 20 years. In different mags and the last 11 years on car and cycle forums.
I suspect I have somewhere getting close to a million miles on Mobil 1 with no issues. Havent read on this or any other forum any isses with it either.

I use Mobil 1 in everything I own with turbos on. My Audi goes 10,000 miles between changes. My Daughters Passat 5000 miles all in town driving, all with Mobil 1. They never use a drop of oil. Never had any leaks before. Sleds go to Mobil 1 at around 1500-2000 miles too. I think its good stuff. No worries.

I have been using Mobil one for over 20 years in everything I own from cars, trucks, tractors, mowers, ATVs and have never had seal leaks or any other oil related issues. In fact I had an Explorer blow a head gasket while on vacation... I kept driving till it heat seized... twice. It had 120K at the time. I replaced the heads and did nothing to the short block. The lower end was still going at 250K when I sold it years later. Mobil 1 is a quality product. Use it in the sleds too.
