So on my 2007 MTX, I picked up a used W arm with the aluminum upgraded link. I noticed that the steel insert that came with this one the bolts go into, is much shorter than my 2007 one. Any reason to change to the newer style? What it looks like to me is the older one would let the steel collar ride against the slide rails, where the shorter one would sandwich the bushing between the W arm and the slide rails.
Also anybody got pictures of the hardware that the better shocks use? My MTX had steel shocks, and I have a set of aluminums I am putting it, and the upgraded aluminum link from the newer W arm is different width(narrower) than the steel. I think I am going to put nylon washers and the bushing that came with the upgraded shock.
