Any body have anything that really works good on belt dust, oily films normal under hood/pannel grime? I've used dish soap, degreaser's, break clean and so far nothing really does a good job on the porous aluminum to make it look like new!

I used aluminum rim cleaner once and worked good, do not leave it long, spray on and rinse right away.

Link for explanation. I use this stuff called awesome, my wife gets it at the dollar store. It is simply awesome. LOL! It removes belt dust, grease, oil, dirt ect.... Works great on the dull plastics also. Makes the white viper panels whiye again. I go through this stuff in the garage constantly.

I use brake clean on the aluminum parts under the body panels. Just be careful not to get it on plastic parts as it may discolor them. G.B.

Does this stain or discolor painted surfaces if not rinsed immediatly?
I need a good cleaner that i can use, but not worry about. Dont want to find out i damaged the paint because i did not rinse it off fast enough

LAs Totally Awesome works great on lots of things. I spray my pants and shirts where I get grease and it comes right out in the washer, even with cold water.
Can also try Purple Power.

I use it on painted stuff all the time without any issues. Mostly garge toys but no problem so far. I haven't squirted it on my truck and left it or anything so not sure there?Does this stain or discolor painted surfaces if not rinsed immediatly?

My son is a bike guy, rebuilds old bikes and built 3 custom bikes like on American Chopper. He uses vinegar on engines and aluminum to remove the stain. I think it has to be washed off quickly like the rim cleaner.
