Personally I don't find the Cluster Flash super useful, it's alot of money to just cycle through the tunes IMHO. I ended up getting the flasher after as well after, I would suggest getting the flasher.

Versatility is one reason. They all(the tunes) behave a little different...the sled has totally different manners at 225 HP than it does at 275 HP. And different still at 240 HP.
Also more HP obviously means more fuel...sometimes that can be reason to toggle down if you know you’re in an area where perhaps you may not have access to fuel as readily??
And sometimes more choices are just a lil more fun too...
But To each their own of course.

Also, if I have a can of race fuel at home, I can throw in a few liters with a full tank and ride with the 300hp setting until that is depleted. At the next fuel up that same day, I can then toggle back to make it home.

Get the bundle tune with 240-270 flash , I find u set the sled clutching for the 270 ( dalton weights & secondary spring u will be close ) and the sled still runs pretty good set on 240 when on long trips or questionable gas , it just loses 300-400 rpm .also I am certain it was probably a joke but I would never intentionally leave my phone home when I go out riding. Never know what may happen. I am still looking into all this and was thinking I would like just one tune to save some cash I cant make much sense of the pricing on the website for TD and Hurricane's website uses a platform that is blocked by my work. I spend 8+ hours a day on a computer at work so I generally don't go online when I get home so I may not even get a good look at what Dave has to offer. I wish there was just a this is what you need to go from stock to this tune price with clutch kit and everything else you need and then this is how much more for the flasher and this much more for tune bundle.

I don’t always have access to 91 octane. Many places I ride is stock muffler only and very strict about it!

That’s why the SM Tunes are so nice...no noise, just all GO!!
And you don’t have to worry about the wardens pulling you over and fining you for an aftermarket Can if you’re in an area where they’re strict.
And with the bundle...if you can’t get 91 octane, you just stay on the lower horse tunes and no worries at all. So that’s another reason(if you needed another ) for the flasher with a Bundle.

If you are a high miles trail guy then I would say just get the cluster flash with the stock muffler bundle!!!When getting the TD multi flash would you get the cluster flash or pay more for the flasher? What extra benefits do you get with the flasher?
If you race the flasher is handy for data logging to fine tuning clutching
Also if you wanted antilag or flash to pass then the flasher is required

My vote is to get the flasher. The biggest reason is you will be upgrading as you go and not need to keep having someone else flash the sled with the updates. Notice I didn't say IF you upgrade. Trust me, the power is addicting and you will at some point want more. When you buy TDs multi tune bundle you are buying access to every tune not a bundle for a specific setup. Others want to charge an upgrade fee if you change hardware. I have 2 bundles on my flasher. One is for my 3" Viney Fab exhaust and one is for the stock muffler. I run the 3" in michigan, NY and Vermont. The stock muffler in Maine and Canada. The only time I change tunes is for available gas or someone else jumping on my sled. If I'm on it it always has the most powerful tune possible for the gas I'm running. I don't need to switch on the fly. If I want less power I use less right thumb.

How does one clutch/gear all these different HP levels at the same time with one setup? If you have it clutched/geared right for 275, it can't be right at 225 or vice versa.

Clutch for the biggest tune the smaller tune work fine with the same clutching!!X2!

The biggest advantage to have a bundle for myself is many lodge in the more remote areas around me only offer 87 oct!
When I can only get 87 I bump it down to 225hp tune

You set the clutching to max ho tune , even set at 270 hp u will only need half to 3/4 throttle for 90% of the trails in Ontario or upper Michigan. If your sled is set up right and u use 100% of the throttle u have a very high chance u won’t make it through the winter... it makes enough power at 225 & 240 hp that it will beat all other sleds out there.X2!

I've drove and ridden with pretty much all TD and Hurricane trail tunes and they all seem to be equal or better than a stock tuned 998 on fuel. Remember I'm talking trail average trail riding.

Yes I agree 100%.
But you have to be riding average like, as you pointed out.
But Once you’re grabbing a “whole” handful(a dozen or two times), and your grin is a mile wide, and there’s 275 ponies running in “Reckless Abandonment” under your Arse...gas mileage be damned at that point!!! And it’s OK!

Understand and mostly agree. Looking at my dyno sheet, I'm clutched for max HP (88-8900 RPM), then if RPM were say 1000 lower, I'd be giving up about 20 HP (at 7800). Where I ride, fortunately we don't have to worry about fuel mileage or octane level. Everyone has 91+ and the stops are close enough that no one worries about getting low or running out. So, our motto is "he who burns the most fuel is having the most fun!" LOL. More WOT = more giggles!
