I am confused about clutching with nitrous. Being when you add horsepower you usually add weight to the tips, and change spring types so on and so forth. How does that work when you could be riding normal most of the day, then hit the boost across the lake?? Is it just finding a happy medium when it is not for racing, and for the trails??

I run my Apex at 10,100 all the time and when I hit the button, I hit 11,100-11,200.....no problems.

I ran a whole winter like this. Which included a trip in Northern Quebec. Which meant many miles of wide open at just 10200rpm! No other 4 stroke Yammy could beat me...can't say I was faster either, but I was never beat!
Nothing wrong running 10200 all day long!

I think the lower rpm has little if no effect on the motor.

You are correct, little or no change.
