i finally got room to open up my Vector on a lake this weekend. About 34f the best I could do on the hardpack but somewhat soft snow was 78
00-8000RPM . i've always noticed even at 0 that it seemed kinda ritch. what are you jetting down too? is the loss of 500 RPM a clutching thing on all these sleds or just cause it was kind of warm? we don't have many lakes and our trails are too twisty to hold it open for more than a couple seconds so Ihaven't been able to test it really all winter. ilooked on the clutch/jet page but there is nothing. anybody gear it down?

Mine jumps right up to around 8500 to 8600 rpm. I have stock jetting and clutching for my area (Maine).

We've found jetting not to do a whole lot to performance. As a matter of fact we went from our shop location (1200 foot elevation) to the Big Horns (6000-7000 foot elevation) and didn't even touch the jetting and it ran just fine. All we had to change was clutching. From 8200 rpm to 8700 rpm it seems to perform the same because of it's huge powerband. We generally try to shoot for 8200 rpm in soft snow so it will run 85-8600rpm on hard pack.

Just to show you guys the difference in HP from 8200 to 8700 is so little that you don't really see much of a gain. This is the widest most forgiving powerband on the sled market!
