Is anyone running this kit on a 2016 MTX 141 SE? I currently have QAY-54 daltons and they pull hard, but won't stay off limiter at take off. Looks like the kit works great on sleds with taller gears, but the 141 MTX has the lower gearing. I can get my hands new set of 8FS weights and gwg spring, just looking for feedback first. My sled currently wheelies quite well with the Daltons, just wonder if this kit (or similar) will keep the skiis up as well?
The kit will work ok, but think I can tell you to change your helix as you are running the mountain helix yet. Put a 43° straight helix on and you will be off of the rev limiter.

Ok thanks for the reply! I had bought a 45/41 dalton helix for these dalton weights so hopefully that will help? Going to run the dalton red primary as well.

looking for some guidance ...
Current setup
2016 Viper xtx 141” - just swapped to 2.25” track with 7 tooth drivers
Secondary – pink, 6-1 wrap, new buttons and washer shims
Primary – B-S-B spring, 4mm shim, stock weights
Elevation 1200ft, vast majority of riding is off trails (hardly any trail riding)
Clutches cleaned and operating freely.
New 8JP belt just broken in.
Belt maxes out about 1" from top of drive clutch - lots of sheeve face left!
Max out at 8400rpms, speed is in the 60mph range with this setup, not an overly impressive ride.
I have the COTC parts – SSS, 8FP weights and 4.5 and 3.6 gram weights.
From reviewing the gazillion posts, I will start with a 4.5gr in the tip weight and see where things line up.
I think a lot of the posts are trail/lake racing oreintated and not heavier snow style performane (could be wrong...)
Does this sound correct for a starting?

I would not do that. Keep the 8GL and adjustable them accordingly. Originally the 8GL are loaded too much at the tip. You sould remove weight from the tip and add some to the heel to get rid of the typical rev limiter hit at launch and get more rpms at top end.
When using the 8FP my Viper became a anchor and was the slowest it ever been.

I must be missing something - I thought the whole point of the COTC was to get the different weight profile to load up the tip with weight and use the stiffer spring?
So, when you changed weight in the original weight did you change springs or shim?
