Did he have the high end flosts? Because I do know that the lower end Floats suck really bad. I'm talking the float 3 evol rc n rc 2.

I would say yes he does. His shop was full of CSRA sleds and I'd bet Jordan Szoke didn't run Fox Floats in any of his championship bikes. If you email Derrek he gets back pretty quick, just ask him.

For the record I have no horse in the race, just met him Marc.
And I'd put money on it if I had a set of nice Elkas I'd like them better too.
hey team Lazy does this guy rebuild\revalve the hpg shocks in skid

At that price point I can't believe you could go wrong. For the record my Float 3s didn't suck bad, but I had RC2 s from my Ski Doo and they fit with some work. They are better, but if I was starting again I'd choose QS3. Probably, just ease of adjustment.Did he have the high end flosts? Because I do know that the lower end Floats suck really bad. You would choose the Qs3 over the rc2?

I rode the floats and qs3 back to back and yes the qs3 is a much better trail shock. And the rc2 would be imo equal to the qs3. A $1000 set of shocks. There isn't a float built that competes with the more expensive coilovers. But as I said if you had floats. Especially if you had the one that came with the rc2 shocks, it would be personal preference on if you would want to spend the money on them. I personally would say find the qs3 version if your purchasing new or left over.

I think I'm going to get rid of my Fox Float RC and instead of going with the rc 2s I will go with axis shocks
Well two weekends ago rode with a guy with 800 cat with Qs3's he said my front shocks were more plush and worked better in the whoops which were everywhere in Muni. I agree with him. My shocks are Evol rc 2's with hi/lo and XC race team valving from AC 2013. Also I never had to adjust them all weekend. And he had to adjust between 2 and 3 a couple times. 3 on those qs3's works great on anything over 1 ft(muni) but will beat you up on small stuff(Grand Marais). So I like mine better.

It is very likely that the sled design in combination with the shocks had a lot to do with the ride feel.If you were here locally I would say lets swap shocks, I have axis. And you could try them. But I put the axis on my nytro last fall. My father still had Floats on his viper. I rode mine and his back to back and felt the nytro was actually a better riding and handling sled. He put a set of Elkas on, the only change and I rode it cpl weeks ago back to back on same trail we just rode back and forth over and it was smoother flatter and more predictable than the nytro. Actually made me decide that after march 1 to decide on a new sled or left over viper (with qs3, or my axis swapped over)

Except the fact that his came with floats and so did mine. We changed a bunch and gave up and went back to coilovers. Just like dh mtn bikes and motocross bikes are because the air shocks are extremely progressive and air temp sensitive. It's a nice attempt and I like the idea but they are failing on execution and ride quality. It is very likely that the sled design in combination with the shocks had a lot to do with the ride feel.

I am waiting for my set, front and rear Axis from Hygear to show up any day. Floats were ok but very limited.Except the fact that his came with floats and so did mine. Def worth it. Nytro I don't think is as bad as its rap. Ltgey just listened to fox an used a crap shock. The viper was better but a float equipped viper is worse than a well set up coilover nytro. And a well set up coilover viper is awesome. Floats atleast for trail use need to vanish off production sleds
Wish you all could ride mine. Thats all I am saying!
We got to play with the Fox with Evo chamber ..Fox sent us one of the new special middle shocks using a ATV race spring..
There is no debate... Fox! Unless sponsored buy another "factory" shock company all top ranked sno X guys run Fox..for a reason.
They are a dream to work with..just don;t get hit..

The sno X guys run the air shock set up for the race they are running. Race over, reset for next race, make adjustments, next race, keep tweaking. If they have a shock fade no problem, the sponsor will make sure that shock is replaced between races. Coil over or Air shock, both will require some attention to get the highest level of performance your after. Coil Over has advantages over Air and the same could be said for Air. I personally had Air shock issues, I found the performance qualities I liked about the air shock could also be delivered by a high quality Coil Over and eliminate the problems I had with Air.We got to play with the Fox with Evo chamber ..Fox sent us one of the new special middle shocks using a ATV race spring..
