crashed my sideweinder last wendsday around 4pm,went aroundmy yard and houe twice nice in easy,we had about 3" of snow,it is cold and snow is setting up now,but back to crash,on final lap I had like 100 feet to blast it,but all I wanted to do was see if it would still launch sense I now have it back all stock, with the limitetr straps out some and transfer blocks on most transfer wehave,so it launched great, but throttle stuck WFO,man I thought the torrs would kick in,dont know why the throttle did not return, but sled is junk, and I have not put insurance on it yet, sucks for me,so I hit the tree at about 40 mph and it hit so hard,it spun the sled around and kicked the suspension all most out of the back of skid, and thru me 20 feet thru the air in to two trees,i am stove up preety good, and have been out of work for the past two days.

That sucks!! but glad your going to be OK!
Thanks, but going to be a slow recovery for my left leg, torn ligiment at knee,it is swelled up and braced up for walking,my right leg is almost as bad,and I hit my head very hard,on a tree, rock??? don't know,it has gone down in swelling, hospital did a CT scan all was good, right forearm is also beat up some, but I heal fast and will be back better and before my parts come in to fix sled.

That's terrible. glad you're OK. I wonder if there's a way to prove throttle stuck and get it covered under warranty? people definitely need to respect the power of these beasts.

that totally sucks. sorry for your misfortune and hope you figure out what went wrong. glad you are relatively ok.

Man that really sucks but I am glad to hear that you are able to not only limp around, but able to communicate!!! Bruises, ligament tears and or knee meniscus tears can be repaired, but that head thing is fricken scary buddy. You had some real bad luck but whereas your CT scan turned out OK, that was good luck!!
Lay low and give yourself some time to heal.

I wish you a speedy and full recovery Snowbeast!

OMG, that is really crapy, hope you get well ASAP...man, don't know what else to say...anyway the stuck throttle can be proved and liability sent?

Oh man that sucks! I'm sitting here with a broken collarbone because I wreaked my new '16 Viper MTX 141" with 2 miles on it. I decided I was going to ride the street down to a city lot to take a couple laps. I hit ice goosing it going downhill and the sled went into sideways skid. It hit the berm in ditch and rolled twice landing on its skis. I flew through the air and hit the icy pavement. No helmet. I caught my ankle on the running board and have 3 stitches in it.

The sled rolled in 3 ft of powder and the emergency switch cut off during the roll. I have a broken windshield and a few scratches on each side of the rear bumper. Nothing else broke. I still can't believe it. It did push the handlebars down, but that massive tripod steering post on the MTX chassis must have acted as a rollbar.

I ended up being lucky and should be healed up to ride by mid January... but moral of the story is always wear your gear and be careful. I'm lucky I didn't hit my head. I'll never take even a few laps without a helmet again!!!

Glad to hear your going to be ok. Sorry about the sled man.
