Wow, that's scary. Glad you're on the mend
Oh man I didn't know that's why you need parts. Sorry to hear that! Side note it's a time consuming but very easy repair. Not expensive either as long as tunnel didn't get tweaked.

I was looking forward to meeting & riding with you this year. Now i'm just glad you're alive! I may be able to come up soon & help you put it back together. It's a 6 hour ride, but a ''TY friend in need is a friend in deed''...

Or maybe it's ''a friend with weed is a friend indeed''. Either way, having a broken wing makes it hard to wrench. I may be bringing my sleds up to Millinocket soon. I could come by & spend all day to help out...or just a hug?

Wow. Glad your somewhat ok. I had a friend with a new viper last year and the throttle stuck just as he was standing next to it and putting in his helmet, he reached down, turned the key and the sled took off like a rocket across the street snack into a brick wall building. Yamaha made him send the entire sled back to them and they evaluated it and gave him a brand new one free. (This was a long process)
So if your positive the throttle stuck call yammie first before ordering new parts.
Either way stinks with a brand new machine!!!!
Good luck!!

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic sled man. ... The Six Million Dollar Sled Man! Got up in a weird old tv mood today... Again, so glad you are OK, nearly lost my boy last winter when he just hit the open field dirt at 45mph after he hit a frozen clod and got tossed. Lots of pins plates paralysis etc... c2-c5 levels in his neck. The TY family will make you whole again!

Glad you're ok. This is why I believe tether cords should be mandatory on all sleds. Cat was the only one doing this for a long time then went cheap and took them off . I know . ......won't stop accidents but the ability to pull a cord to stop a sled possibly could have saved you in this case. Hope you heal fast! Maybe we should all check throttle linkage out?
Damn! That's horrible beast! Glad you're here to talk about it! Hope you have a speedy recovery. That's a real wake up call for all the folks here. If that can happen to a seasoned vet it can happen to anybody!
