Curve skis

They are very damn tight to get on
Had to lower the sled into the skis to compress the rubber

Ya some times if you get the bolt started on one side...you can use a ratchet strap on the ski over the A arms to line up the other side

Anybody have the inside track at curve....?When are the colored loops coming back?

To make it easy I'll copy here.

Sled looks Great. Could you please tell me where you found the blue ski hoops? Curve says they wont have any colored ones until next year!
You can't get blue loops, unless you find someone that has an old set for sale. I got wicked lucky last year and found them on ebay for something like $35. I guess Curve might have colored loops next year. Don't hold your breath. The same was said for this year as well. My guess is they would rather people buy the colored skis because its allot more $ for them when you buy a new sled and need to change the whole ski color vs just the loops.

Ya I talk to Corey at the Toronto show and the Novi and he said they are looking into them again for next year.

Did not like the way my sled acted on the trails completely stock. Fresh snow on previously packed trails proved these Tuners do not work once snow accumulates, just as many have said on this site.
So I was going to cheap out and try what I thought was second best, Snow Trackers. Got the wrong set and had to bring them back, (made for 2013 and up Tuners) now the correct ones are on back order.
Have always loved the Woodys doolys on all of my Yamahas, pushed in corners a bit, but no darting at all. That's why I was gonna try the snow trackers, sounds a lot like a dooly, takes away all darting, but handling and steering maybe better and easier. But these Tuners push more than any other ski I have ever had, period... but no darting.

So it sounds like curves for handling and add a set of Slim Jim Doolys to remove the slight darting from the curves. May have to wait a bit for the curves and run cheap carbides for now, but HOW MUCH for BLUE XS Curves ? Loops and mounting kit extra? Best place to order from???

Does anyone know the length and diameter of the main bolt that comes with the skis?
I need to get one

From my old post in the Viper forum:

It looks like there was a change in 2015 with Yamaha adding the Tuner ski’s:

3603-426 axle 70.6mm long This is what the 2015 Vipers used except M series
3603-429 spacer 8mm/.318" long

With Cat skis:

2603-813 axle 75 mm/3"This is Most Cat models, 2014 Viper, and 2015 Viper M series
2603-208 spacer approx 12.4 mm

It sounds like Yamaha changed the spindle sleeves again? This is something that should be checked. They may be 75mm again?

I originally assembled mine and drew the walls in / \ When curve sent me the new spacers I could not get assembled so I used a long full thread bolt and spread the saddles back out to I I Be sure to spread wider than you need as they wil want to spring back slowly.

Also there was a rubber change. Older ones had symmetrical rubbers. New ones have a taller rear section to help carry the tips and reduce darting.

the factory SW bolts are not long enough for the curve skis

Does anyone know the length and diameter of the main bolt that comes with the skis?
I need to get one
10mm×139mm (5 5/8") with 103mm (roughly 4 1/8") not threaded.
