Yes a higher degree of wrap is always gonna backshift faster, and rev higher thru the shift when compared to less degree of wrap. Just like keeping your race bike in 2nd gear longer so you can blow by everyone coming out of the light.
Revving a tad higher at trail speeds offers a snappier feel.
The key is to not have too much backpressure, so you still can shift out to make good top speeds, and not have too much heat from the clutches fighting eachother.
Dale makes a great point about gearing and also which weights you run...Testing is best way to get your combo.
I am very concerned about the amount of heat I did have. I melted a belt on a top speed run that wasn't very fast. I went back to stock weights have more revs and less heat.
No real long pulls yet to confirm findings. This weekend I believe. Maybe some testing too.
