I am looking to either shim the Skis on my vector or replace, I would rather shim them due to cost... Can someone point me to where I can buy these shims? I searched and cant find the information on where to get them. Thanks again. :yam:

Call Scott Bergstrom, tell him what you are running, and he will set you up with what you need. Even if you get after market skis, you will have to shim them. Maxdlx

Maxdlx is correct. The problem is the ski rubber, not the ski. Yamaha ski rubber puts pressure on the front of the ski. By shimming, you move the pressure to the rear of the ski. Think of your ski keel and wearbar like a caster wheel or a rudder. With weight on the front, it wants to SPIN around. When properly shimmed, you will see approxiamately 1/8"-1/4" of daylight under the front of your wearbar. SIMPLE thing to do. Almost to simple to believe LOL!! You can use an old piece of belt, or trim a piece of an old hyfax. Most of the time I throw in a 1/4" shim in the front and darting is cured. Disclaimer: You MUST have your ski alignment correct FIRST!! if you don't, no amount of shim will correct your darting!!

Dave ;)!

Viper_Dave is right. I just used a piece of Hyfax when I had my Vector and worked like a charm.

So you put this under the rubber? and it just stays there?

Check it out. http://www.bergstromskegs.com/index.htm

Scott really knows what he's talking about and his bars are the best. I used his triple points last year and did quite a bit of raod riding. I wouldn't be surprised if I could get at least 2 more years out of those TP's and with the shims and ski savers, hunting was almost completely eliminated.
