Sounds like another VR issue...seems to be pretty common.

im thinking... shoukd i go with another oem? i mean electrical i like to stay oem but bein this is fairly new or low mi im thinkin aftermarket would be better?Sounds like another VR issue...seems to be pretty common.
I dont know if they are better then OEM but the people in our group have used RM stator VRs and so far so good. They also offer a heavier duty unit " REVOLT" that costs a bit more and comes with a lifetime warranty.

got a regulator locally from a dude parting out vipers, actually i got 2 , i toss 1 in tool box for spare, csme off 2016 vipers, fit the same, sled now charges and im thinkin will cure the dead battery problem whike sitting , time will tell, just the feel of tge viper one felt like quality compared to the original black one felt more like china......one weird thing this fella told me was to use the key to shut it off not the kill switch, told me using kill sw theres a chance of zappin the vr...i cant see it but..??

One interesting thing I have found common with the SWs/Tcats in our group that have had voltage regulator issues is that those sled riders regularly use their seat heat. I don't like the seat heat so I don't use it and have not had a VR issue...coincidence or irrelevant...things that make you go Hmmmm.
