I've read once to use WD40...might want to try it on a small section, I use GOOF OF its kind of a citrus base product you can buy at any hardware store.

I 2nd that. Use WD40 and rub with your fingers to dissolve the glue then wipe off. Make sure to prep well for new graphics.

WD40 is the best! G.B.

I agree, WD-40 is the best. It takes a bit of elbow grease but it won't damage the surface you are working with. It is even safe to use on windshields when removing trail permits. Follow up with a mild cleaner.

Do not use GOOF OFF on the parts painted with a clear coat. I just removed my decals and used my fingernail to help remove the glue. The GOOF OFF seemed to soften the clear coat and now I have some spots where the clear coat was taken off. I couldn't tell at the time because of all the glue. Once I got it cleaned up I was left with some pretty bad marks... but only in the clear. Not good.

auto part stores have products just for that. they use it on cars to take off stickers and it won't ruin your plastic or clear coat. I had a rev that I took all the stickers off and I started with wd40 and the stuff you get at the auto shop is cheaper and works better. I cant remember what brand it is but just tell them what you are doing and they will tell you what to buy.

I used a soft rag and lighter fluid to get the sticker residue off my IQ last winter. Worked good and didn't hurt the finish. I would test it on an a small area first just in case.

Before using any chemicals, just try dabbing it with duct tape. I took off my registration stickers and they left the sticky behind too...duct tape did it for me.

after heat gun, you use plastics remover squeegee to remove the vinyl scrap slightly if the glue is old then it takes much time & peeling off in a very small chunks, or glue is not more old then it comes out very soon. therefore final use the adhesive remover that can remove it without scratching your surface of vehicles; don't Waste Stickers or decals it can be remade by recycling process & keeping the good environment

I used heat on one side of the tank cover to remove the YAMAHA decal and it messed the coating up pretty good and left finger nail marks in the paint (I thought that I was removing adhesive!). On the second side I just pulled very slowly and it eventually came off, then I used bug and tar remover on the adhesive residue.
