I`m praying, let us have lots of snow this winter and let us ride our sleds to the limits and that the sleds hold together this year

Dimebag I see you have the WRP boards. Correct me if I am wrong but your sled is an 08 RTX right? I have the same sled and wanted to go with these boards but was told they would not fit?

Everything fits, if you want it to. If you check out page 2 of this thread you can see how i mounted them on my 2008.

Yeah I was looking at the pics and it did not seem to be to big of a job. Did you trim the outter edge of the running board as well. They look more narrow in the last pic. Or did you just cut the opening for the WRP insert?

Thats where some of your missing rpms was with that exhaust cracked.

I trimmed the outer edge, quite much actually. It ended up pretty good.
Pro116, do you think that could be the reason?

It could be a few hundred rpm loss.

That sounds good.
Can you tell me how i take off the primary? Do i need a special tool? Shouldnt it just be to remove the bolt and pull the outer part off?
At least thats what im used to on my previous sleds..

Well what are you trying to do.To remove the primary completely you will have to get a clucth puller. You remove the center boldt then the puller goes in to pop the clutch off.Or you can take the primary cover boldts out and remove the cover and spring and you can get at the weights and rollers.

I dont wont the whole clutch to come off, so I should not need a clutch puller (that was the tool name i was looking for..) .. I removed the 22mm (?) bolt holding the primary but it wont pop off.. Like its stuck on there, and i dont want to start beating and hammering on the clutch.. Any ideas how to "pop it off" ?
Thanks
Thanks

I think your confused. If you don't want to take off the primary keep the 22mm boldt in.Just take out the small boldt that hold the cover on and the cover wil come off and the spring so then you can get at the weights and rollers.
The way your talking you must have worked on ski doo's.Thats the only manufacture that the center sledes out.

Subframe switcheroo..
Thanks again to Airwolf for helping me out with overseas shipping for the new (used) subframe!
The sled on the garage floor, upper plastic frame lifted a bit up to get all cables etc out of the way:
I could not get the upper bolt off, so had to remove the frame with the upper a-arm still in place. I later found out the reason. My crash earlier this season broke the nut off the frame..
MCX owners, pay attention to this shim/ nut between the oil tank and subframe..
Old and new frame..
New frame installed, just waiting for the Skinz front suspension…
