Does this belly pan cover go to my '06 Apex GT?

This came with my sled, and it looks like it fits, but, I don't find it on a Parts diagram. Does it in fact go to my sled?

Yes it will fit your Apex, but since it's a Yamaha 'accessory' as opposed to an OEM part, you won't find it on the part schematics or microfiche.

If it had been mounted by the PO, then there should be rivet-nuts on the underside of the belly that the bolts for the protector screw into. If it wasn't mounted, then you will most likely need to purchase some rivet-nuts and hardware.

Thanks RobX. Yea, I think I see the rivet-nuts. Quick/stupid question: Does this skid plate slide up/in & under the front lower nose plate, or does it mount outside of it? (pic of my sled with red arrow pointing to the "nose plate" I'm referring to.

It mounts outside of the oem body.

4 riv-nuts on the bottom and 2 screws ( longer that factory) up in the front.

Stupid question, but: How do I figure out the screws to use? I can't find the skid plate as a 'new item' on, say, Partzilla. I could do trial 'n error but don't want to muck up the receiving-side threads.

They should be metric. I believe they were M8x1.0x20 or 30 or so. The kit came with stainless machine screws I believe. I probably have a belly pan around here with the inserts installed somewhere. However, easier to just get a few metric bolts and try them by hand until you find what fits. Then go get some stainless screws to match. Be careful to not use too long of screws as they can make contact with the wrong things if too long. Also it seems like there was a post on installing these circa 2006 or so.

i started using one of these https://www.amazon.ca/Astro-Pneumat...ocphy=9001141&hvtargid=pla-338189070626&psc=1 to install or re install belly pan protectors as they kept popping out with the yamaha supplied tool. used it on a few more things as well.

x2 on careful with the drill bit. brother got the oil line on his 04 warrior when he installed his.
