Does anybody have any experience with adding a dual rate spring to FX. I'm having Yami do the link so with that issue out of the way any tips for dual rate springs for stutter and comfort. I like the Hygear kit but only need front(rear susp) shock setup for now.

I am a fan of dual rate springs, While I do not ride as hard as some, I still love the versitility you get with the dual rates. They really do provide for a nice supple ride in the small stutters and step up and take the big hit for you through the big stuff. I have them (From Hygear) all the way around on my Attak and am currently waiting for the shocks (All 4) to return from Hygear with dual rates on 3 of them and re-valve on all.
I have tried my FX with the dual rate on the center and the rest of their "Quick kit" installed but the sled was not a "Sit down" sled through the stutters or in the big bumps. That is why Hygear now is re-valving the shocks. I will be making my Phazer a comfortable sled for my wife to ride while seated most of the time. (Looking for a plush ride)
If all you want now is the dual rate spring for your center shock you can simply order the springs and retainers from Hygear and install the set yourself. (Pretty easy install)

Thanks! That's what I'm gonna do then... I ride hard but would like a little more suspension for the little stuff and bottoming.

It sounds to me that you are thinking along the same line as I was when I installed their "Quick kit" on my wifes sled. I was looking to smooth out the stutters a bit and help with the bottoming. Yes, it helped some in the stutters, but it still bottomed a lot....even when my wife was on it, let alone when I was riding it much harder than she.
You may want to consider having the skid shocks re-valved. The shocks IMHO are not set-up correctly. The rear especially blows through the stroke easily....thus the bottoming. If you have not yet spoken with Ross regarding the ride you are looking for, I suggest giving him a call.
When my order comes from him I'll be installing his link isolation system as well as the re-valved/re-sprung shocks. Looking forward to a totally different sled!
Good luck with yours!
