I finally took some accurate measurements on my new Dupont slides & was able to compare to another sled riding side by side to me. Both sleds have 128'' Ice-Ripper tracks & same suspension set ups. Both straps are up 1 notch. I have only Dupont slides & he had drop downs on all wheels & extra wheels up front. 2000 miles for me & 1800 miles for him. The slides start with 18.5 mm & have 8.5 mm wear before you're riding the rails.(same as stock) I lost .5mm the whole length EXCEPT up front. The hard plastic inserts start 5'' back from the front tips. The 2'' in front of these inserts is where it wore 2mm. I will install extra wheels there. His hyfax wore alot where there is no wheels. (almost all the way) He has now purchased new Duponts for $45 ($15 stock) & is removing drop downs. I was concerned if there would be track clip wear due to hard inserts, but there was NONE. I also looked at the Doo & Poo we ride with & they had more wear than me. MY CONCLUSION: With wheels added up front these are "the fix". I only wanted a pair of sliders to last the year so i would't have to do mid season repairs. I believe i can now go 4 or 5 years on same slides. Since i rode 300 miles before the Duponts, i believe i may have picked up 1 or 2 MPH on top. Not 100% sure, but do have some things to go on. If friend can get a little closer to me on top, than it will be proven......again: $45 @ Yamaha Sprots Plaza, 2000 miles, .5mm wear, need front wheels...hope this helps somebody...

I bought white slides for my cat skid in my apex. The white are supposed to be made out of a harder purer plastic. I've always ran graphite slides. Through my work I paid almost $50 and I paid our cost. They were the most expensive slides we've ever had in lol. I'm hoping they will help since I have no inner wheels do to the remote res's on the rails. Whst do these DuPont slides look like? Anyone have any pics?

Nice review! I have the Duponts also with 113 miles on them. We were riding last weekend and I could smell hyfax quite a bit that day but not from me! I measured mine and not worn anywhere!

Sold individually... I think I paid around $110.00 shipped for a pair.

Mmmm...... three times the price of the standard slides but apparently three or more times the life plus maybe a few extra MPH? Too bad I just put a pair of standard slides in my sled. Thanks for the report.

$90 a pair. Most important to me is not having to worry in middle of season because i used to leave my sled up north making repairs difficult. Don't forget: they did wear up front so extra wheels up front. It's snowing right now soooooo i'm like a piano string ready to pop...
