Your thoughts? Would it slow-down oil consumption, improve cooling, prevent overheating? Placebo effect? Anyone using this stuff, does it work for you?

Stay away from anything with solid lubricants such as teflon , molybendulum , grafite . Solid lubricants can cause problems .

Just run the Yamie semi or a full synthetic like Mobil 1 or Amsoil.
I buy the 5-30 mobil 1 5 qt jugs from Walmart for around $19
Where the water wetter I know is good, 95% the oil treatment products I do consider snake oil.

Someone I know had samples from a few different oil treatments tested, and he found a couple were just plain old motor oil. Bigger names like Slick 50 do actually have additives, but I question their effectiveness.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Duralube doesn't have any of the above mentioned chemicals: Molibdenum, graphite, or teflon. I have bad rings in my truck so maybe I'll test it on that first

The Duralube that you get at walmart is not anywhere neer the stuff they advertized on TV .

Slick 50
HI, I ride harleys in the off season, A buddy of mine put slick 50 in his bike. In a few thousand miles he has lost a niddle bearing deep in his engine. ( 78 Classic) The dealer told him that the slick 50 made it so slick that the bearing was not turning. After a large expense and the bearing changed he never put it in again. So I took it from his experiance and left mine alone, I would be care
full using this stuff.

Running some Yamaha oil does the trick. The most my sled will see for any additive is fuel stabilizer and Seafoam.
