well well well,
I played with needle, bad idea , they were at 4, now at just little bit under 5.
Listen to my sled, you will understand
http://media.putfile.com/rx-1-poudreuse
before the midrange was almost perfect, my error to play with needle.
And, i put 165 too,
, 165 are the ticket.
Frostbite, i will give you a list tomorrow morning, im comming from a ride, and am tired big time

Frosty,
You need to support your seat ( i have a nice seat support if you want )
You will have to look at your clutching (mine went off after the Single pipe vs only the ECP) Went from 135 to 128 on total force
Other than that i say follow the recommendation from Supertuner for the Jetting size. I found that 170 work great at lower elevation 0 to 500 feet, but too rich at 1000 and more. Now im 165 main jet and no bugging when flooring the throttle. Im at 4 positions for needle and work great, i were to high this weekend, almost 5 and got some major bogging down low.
Other than that, sled seem to react more at weather change than with the stock exhaust, this is the only downfall.

I will use your setup but I ride from 4 to 7,000 feet. What do you suggest for mains 160 or 165? I do have a Holtzman ATACC on my sled so it may help.
I will give it a try but keep my White Knuckle QC-1 just in case.
Yes, I would be very happy to use your seat support.
Thanks Dude

Freddie,
I have 160 mains in the sled right now and with the White Knuckle QC-1 exhaust it's a little rich on the lower ned of the spectrum and nearly perfect above 8,000 RPM.
Perhaps I will give the 160s a whirl and give them a try before I swap out the mains.
Will the fuel screws or pilot jet sizes need adjustment? I think mine are at 2.0 turns out from seated right now.

Frosty.. I was was running the 160MJ at 6000' and had lots of booging on my climbs. I was only able to pull 9800 on hard pack snow and it would drop to 85-9000RPM in the soft deep snow. So I was really hurting for power.
1-2' of heavy wet snow and 0 degrees temp. Hood was covered with snow and sled would load up and bog. No snow under hood but it deffinatly needed air. I would like to know if changing the air screws would help and also needle settings?? Only 2 days to ride so I didnt play with anything.

Interesting Culvert!
With my shockwave and the white knuckle I can now pull 10,500 WHILE CLIMBING! Before I was lucky to pull 9,500 or 9,600 while climbing.

i find a part of the low speed bogging i had last week.
i found there was missing a small spring that goes over the needles.
But i cant find only the spring, i need to buy the all package
Anyone have this little spring left that i can buy ?

Tundra, I wonder if a spring from a ball point pen would work? Any light spring will work as this just holds the needle in place.
Might be worth a try until you get the regular one.

I would imagine you mean going to a 155 main jet? If you have 160's in now why would you change to 160's again?

Freddie, I apologize if I was unclear. Yes, I have 160 mains in my sled now.
Yes, I also plan to try the 160s with the single pipe before (and if) I swap to the 155 mains.
That's what I meant by this statement in the above post.
"Perhaps I will give the 160s a whirl and give them a try before I swap out the mains".
Tanks for all you do for us.

Ok, I'm ready to try the single pipe.
I will try 160 mains (probably tto big but I have a Holtzman ATACC on my sled).
Needles in the #4 posiiton.
Fuel screws 2.0 turns out
I guess we'll see how this works at 4-6,000 feet.
