ECP and Glasspack can live together under one hood!!!

Freddie what are you gaining on top with your air kit and rings with stock exhaust?

Tundra,
i have just been scanning this thread a little bit and never could find what your final package consisted of? i think i got the 165 mains and #4position on the needle with silver springs? is that what everything consisted of? or is there more or something different?

i 'm using 165 main green spring and needle at 3. But im not right on yet, need to tune a little bit more this fall.

Our snow isn't too hot but I did get a chance to take my sled for a ride a couple days ago. I'm still impressed with how well the sled pulls (especially in the mdirange) with the ECP/velocity rings and single pipe setup.

The burble is gone when I let off the throttle. The idle is the smoothest it has ever been and as I said earlier the mid range power is out of this world.

I was riding at 4-5,500 feet at 26-30 degrees and everyhtign worked great!

I just thought I'd post an update.

Frosty

I can tell you one thing, after 2 years of frustation with freezing in cold temperature, today was my last run with Filter. I will put it back in march, when temperature will be better.

Today, lot of powder, lot of snow dust inside, and everything freeze. Let the motor idle for couple of min and its come back alive, maybe at 85 %. but was running 100 % only first the first kilometer. And i tell you something, i tryed a lot of thing.

Then i would say, no dont mess with Airbox if you have cold temp and lot of snow. Cold temp and trail riding, no problem, cold temp and off trail, big problem.

I would second that aswell. 2yrs I have been fighting this sled with our really fine powder snow and cold temps.. I have blocked all vents with screen covered off the nose of sled and still this crystal like snow gets in everywhere and freezes the filters even with prefilters.

I only wish I had a stock airboix to go to.

Other bad news is I tried doing the EVAC mod and I cant get the sled to idle at all after a run. pulled the filters and the insides are all frosted. I guess there is to much moisture in the crank gases and it freezing up my carbs. Now I have 2 large holes to plug and go back to just a evac filter.

ALWAYS SOMETHING TO FIX!!!

i agree, all vents covered , 2 more hood strap , duct tape inside all over headlight hole, and still a lot of snow inside.

But dont get me wrong, ECP will came back in hotter temperature.
