I had a spark plug cap prob last year and dealer honered it with no questions ( had nothing to do with kit either) Freddie is a great guy to deal with and will tell you how it is, and his kit helped me win ALOT of races. I was on a lake in canada and a F7 owner accused me of having pistons and cams because of how bad i whooped his A$$!
same results, been asked if i had turbo they way it leaves ecp kit and clutching.

imo i think the ecp kit should be more reliable.and extend life of the engine. k@n filter way better than the stock airbox

How about other mods?
I can't comment on the kit, since I never used one, but as for warranty coverage...when my sled was in for the oil usage issue, one of the things checked was if i had aftermarket filters. It was told to me again that if I had aftermarket filters, my motor wouldn't have been covered. I now have a brand new engine which i wouldn't have had if i had aftermarket filters.
Again...this is NO comment on how they work, or if they reduce reliability...just stating my experience with Yamaha pertaining to aftermarket filters. And no, this wasn't a dealer level answer...it was from much higher up.
With that said, if I didn't have a warranty on my new engine, I would probably buy a set to try them myself.

I instaled one and if there was an issue I would just go back to stock. Can't wait to try it next weekend!
