Has anyone been contacted yet to have this done? Waiting for this so I can have fuel line done at same time as I am 45 minute drive from dealer

Only ones being done are the AC's right now.
So does yamaha have a fix and there just waiting for the hook up? Seems to be taking them quite a while. I've always been a proud yamaha customer but it seems they are takin g there time with this one..

Talked to a Yamaha rep yesterday at the Mich. Novi Snowmobile show.

Kind of funny. It was later in the day when I talked to her and asked if she knew anything about the hot start problem on the Vipers.

You could tell she must have gotten asked a million times about this over the weekend.

She rolled her eyes, gritted her teeth, and forcefully said. Yes we are aware of the hot restart issue. We do have a new calibration coming out.
The tools for the reflash should be at the dealers in about two weeks. Contact your dealer and get scheduled for the reflash and fuel line recall.

Good! I'm glad to hear they are getting annoyed by it. This should have been addressed by mid season last year not the beginning of this season.

I agree with you 100% on this.
She is annoyed because she has to answer the same question over and over. The poor thing.
Imagine how she would feel if she spent 12 grand and had to listen to her friends abuse her over and over because her new sled wont start.
The poor thing, i really feel for her, she must have been really put out answering the same question over and over, lol

Late last winter, when news of the planned reflash came out I was told it would not be available until August.

Another little tidbit of information for what it's worth.

I dropped my sled off at the dealer yesterday for the recalls and even though the service manager didn't have the stuff for the ECU reflash yet at least he was aware of it and hopefully they will have it soon.

I mentioned that guys on the forum were saying that Arctic Cat and Yamaha had to use different equipment to do the re-flash. He verified that was true with a small difference. He said you could not re-flash an Yamaha with the Arctic Cat equipment, but you could use the Yamaha stuff to do either. I have no idea why and he didn't either.

My dealer told me they would be able to do it at the end of the month

I called my local dealer today and was told they have been trained for it, got the equipment to do it and are waiting on the program to be uploaded to them. They said next week most likely.
