PCV only piggy backs ECM. You want to unplug programmer and get the flash done.

then will the pcv need to be remapped as well to keep the afr #s the same?

Yes!
My dealer received all to do the re-flash. I'm gonna take my appointment next week for the two recalls .

I hope you're right on that date, my build date is 4/20/14 (per the build date on the plate behind the seat). I'll have my dealer run the VIN and double check on Monday. There is a cutoff date but I am not sure what it is. I remember only sleds built after April 15 2014, but not positive on that date.

talked to the dealer today and said there is no need to reflash a viper with a programmer installed. so shouldn't need it on any turbo sleds or sleds with the power up package.

Cold start issues???? We also had that problem with the older apex's but it was a relay for the fuel pump would freeze, should I expect the same from my 2015 Viper?

The Viper starting issue is crank-no start on a hot soak

I don't have my xtx le picked up yet so I think I'll wait another bit......unless it's already done from factory????

If you needed a flash without a programmer you will still need the flash with the programmer. I assuming you have a GEMS or PCV? Dealer is wrong on that one. If your not having any starting issues you may want to hold off on the reflash? I would have it done for sure.

If your doing a MPI turbo there will be a reflash in the future that MPI will be offering that turns the fan on more often to help with cooling.

i have the pcv that came with the hurricane turbo kit. i was having hot start issues before the instal and have not noticed any after. i just dont want to have it reflashed and have it affect the afr numbers. not sure what precautions need to be done. unplug the pcv during reflash? then changing the sleds programing do you need the pcv reprogramed to work with the sleds new mapping to achive the same afr #s?

The "hot start reflash" really shouldn't have any effect on your AFR, it should only make a change during the key on sequence with a hot/warm engine. I could be wrong on that but that would make sense. I would call Dave at Hurricane and get his opinion before doing anything.
First of all there is more than one thing the re flash is addressing. Second Yamaha is not saying what exactly is being done. If modded in any way I would be checking AFR's.
