@Simplespeed your comments are valuable as a guide for getting as close as possible to finding the balance of effort/performance for a sled without EPS.

Finding a balance that works for you, in the conditions you ride, and for the way that you ride is what matters. If you only ride great snow then carbides are going to matter less than the keel and in general, steering will require less effort. Similarly if you are just a cruiser, EPS may be less of a benefit. If you ride hard, groomed trails at speed, or tight twisty trails, there will be no doubt that a sled with EPS will outperform a sled without EPS by any effective measure. At anything above mid range speed EPS is not engaged (as much) but as stated, it will still help attenuate bump steer, darting, etc.. all of which require effort to overcome, especially when riding hard.

I can change the truck tires with a 4-way and a jack. I would much rather do it with a lift and an impact wrench.

Nice to hear from you my friend.. My first impression of EPS is In no way a true measurement as my 2024 LTX has had no adjustments, no carbide added and really no seat time yet…. My 2017 LTX Le Set up and pictures are a guide for a starting point for Groom trail riding that will give the average trail rider a set up that turns.. Of course to each his own on what works best for type of riding one does .. My set up is not cure all, end all but it works as some will see. Others will compare their current set up to see if there is any room for improvement.. All good .. Stay tuned for getting the EPS Sled set up and refined .. I look forward to working with this new technology…
