2015 Viper LTX LE
Ive got a 2015 LTX LE and wondering what everyone else is showing on dash when running for engine temps?

Mine shows just over 1/2 and sometimes reaches 3/4 when out on the trails riding around at 60 - 70 km/h.

Normal, or should i be looking into this further?

If I recall it seems mine is showing mostly 3/4 full bar most of the time. I was curious about the same question.

Hey inferno if you want to know exact number of your temp. The button to the left of your temp gauge. If you hold it down for a few seconds it will swith to an actual number instead of just the bar. Just a heads up. It's pretty cool.

Sounds about right. As stated you just have to press and hold the bottom button on the left side of the gauge and that will also show how many degrees (or Celsius) it is. My personal sled would run 160-170 while moving.

I rode in -3f to 11f temps this last Saturday and mine was running a consistent 163 degrees with factory air box with no mod.

Light comes on at 213 and at 223 it goes into limp mode, would be hard if not impossible to burn a Viper down.

Awesome - thanks. I actually think I remember seeing that but never checked it again. I will be running with actual numbers as the bar is too vague.

Mine ran at 163-194 drops quickly when good snow I like the #'s display if I remember it is about 2/3 of the bar.

True enough. I was running in deep powder last week and mine started to miss. I assumed I was getting powder into my intake and kept riding thinking it would clear up. It finally got so bad it would hardly run. That's when I finally noticed the alert light and the pegged temp gage. I had been thru this before on my Nytro so I rolled the sled on it's side and looked at my heat exchanger. Sure enough there was an ice dam between the track and the exchanger. I busted out the ice, let the motor cool down and have been riding with no issues ever since.

I noticed that ice dam on the last 2 M8's I have rented.... not that they overheat, but the ice build up on the front exchanger.

My ltx runs right around 165 in good snow and creeps up when the snow conditions aren't as good, I ran a river all weekend with low-ish snow conditions and never had any issues
