new to this game and lots of info, i'm trying to digest it all.
There's lots of talk about the superchargers but not too much on the different exhaust options people are running or did i miss some threads somewhere?
Is everyone just using stock exhaust generally?
Are there any major gains in going to a more free flowing exhaust?

I went with aftermarket headers and pipe on my supercharged sled. The way I figure it is I'm pushing more air so the engine should breathe a bit better. Just like with a car. Plus I wanted the sound. It's said I will gain another 7-9hp on top of the hp produced from the blower with my Full Hauck system.

I really like the excell system, sounds awesome and not much back pressure against the turbo.

Why change the header?
I did not change my headers on my blower rx1!
Only changed y pipe and muffler for a hindle slip-on.

The new headers are bigger for more volume. ( air flow, way less restrictive.) Plus they were there. lol It's only money. lmao...

Never seen a header for an apex that didn't have a turbo. What does it look like?

Jamie,
Click on the link in my signature for my project thread. I have many pictures in that thread....
Mulot,
Yes, I think the stock headers are robing some hp. They are smaller then the headers I have now. My new headers are atleast 5/16" bigger. Doesn't sound like much, when it comes to airflow, that could be huge.

Yeap, that's what I'm thinking. Hauck claims 7-9hp on a stock sled. I'm hoping the same or maybe a little better with my Supercharger?

I would have to agree with you that these things are air pumps make the air come in easier, and out easier.
