- 2010 RS VECTOR GT LTX STOCK FOR NOW!
Hello guys i just got my hands on a used expert x suspension. Im totally pumped to get this baby in my sled but i have some questions. I have search thru to forum and looked over the install on the tech page but my set up is a little different. This set up came off an 2003 rx which is what i have and i got the drivers from it all the brackets tunnel extension and rear cooler. My question is what is the extra frame doubler in the pic (the one with the idaho sticker) i havent seen this in any one elses pics. Also can i install with the 2 inch track? I just want to be sure this will work right before i fully comit to the project.

There was nothing like that in my parts as well. I'd contact the previous owner and ask them. Looks to me that was added insurance at the front of the tunnel. I made my own doubler out of aluminum diamond plate. It strengthens the tunnel top to bottom much better IMO, than the supplied piece.

Thanks guys the guy i bought it from bought the sled and parted it out. he sent me a pics and before he removed it but doesnt really know much about it. I guess the sled was a bender turbo sled so maybe some one fabed it up on there own and added. It doesnt mount to the skid it was just rivited to the tunnel in front of the frame doubler.

Thanks guys i a got a hold of them at the company and i was able to verify my skid is a true 151 not a 144 with set back for a 151 track. i didnt want to go that route. I got the whole set up for $850 so i would have bought a 144 track to fit if it was not a 151. But i still got no answer on the extra bracket? the sled it came off was a turbo machine i dont know if they added it for some other reason?
ps millstreet the sled looks sweet.....
will i have any trouble with the 2" lugs?

You will need 8 tooth drivers. Also, you need to remove the tunnel protecters.

"ps millstreet the sled looks sweet....." Thanks
Not too sure on 2" lug, these are 1.625 lake racer studs, I had to install in this pattern so as not to hit the crossover in the exhaust.
Since you're going to a longer tunnel, you'll have room for one of these....they WORK!
good luck with the swap, it'll be worth the effort -- take some pictures!!

Thanks guys im going to try to get started soon i am really busy at work plus we dont start riding till the day after christmas if there is any snow. do you guys think the 2" paddles are nuts for 50/50 riding half on trail and half off. i figure the extra padle will help to get the power to the ground anyway. i dont run studs and wont with this set up either.
Thanks again

I have been running a 2" for 8 years. You just may need to jump into powder once in awhile on a hard pack trail.

The difference is the outside dimension. You will have to change to an 8 tooth driver with a 2" track. It will give you the clearance in the front of the tunnel.
