What does the extended warranty cover. The whole sled or just the motor.

I think you can buy it anywhere. I read an earlier post about the Port Washington dealer in Wisconsin having a good price on the extended.

The extended warranty covers the whole sled. Call Kevin at Port Yamaha great customer service to go with their great prices. www.portyamaha.com
The warranty can be bought from any dealer and used at any dealer.

Does anyone know if the YES extended warranty is transferable if one sells the sled before the warranty is up?

The warranty is 100% transferable! Great for resale!
I do not know if it is honored in Canada if bought in the U.S.
Another nice thing is you can get some of the money back that you paid for the warranty. Like in my case my sled was totaled, so I will be receiving some of the memory I originally paid back as the warranty is prorated.

do a search on Ebay...there's a place somewhere in the midwest that sells them cheap. I paid less than $500 for a 4 year YES warranty.

Yea there is a dealer on Ebay selling a 4 year for $529. I bought the warranty for my jetski the same way and saved a nice amount too. Make sure the warranty is a YES warranty.

We currently have the 4 year extended warranty for the four strokes on sale for $499. It is a transferrable warranty so if you sell the sled you can definitely use that as a selling point. That 4-year YES warranty gives you an additional 4 years of warranty on top of the 1 year factory warranty for a total of 5 years. Shoot Mike an email at mike-portyamaha@wi.rr.com or give us a call if you have more questions. Thanks

That is a great deal being the sled wasn't bought from this dealer. Cost is $426 or so but I got mine from the dealer I bought it. I'd go for this deal if I were you.

If you turned down the warrenty at time of purchase can you buy one now for a 2006 with 2500 miles? Been thinking maybe it would be a bad investment. Only problem so far has been idler wheels had 2 replaced and now getting 4 more replaced. Actually lost the whole idler wheel on of one of the earlier replacements. Ask the dealer if they used loctite said "no nylon lined nuts." Well someone didn"t tighten it very well!
