Extra fuel

Those would be great, but the exhaust is so low, I don't think you can divert it enough even with a turnout. The kolpins can lay flat, but again, I don't think low enough on the 11+ sleds as the exhaust is so much lower than the older Apex's

Are those the nytro caddies? Can you post a whole side view of your sled please with the cover up? Interesting you got this to fit and from these views looks good....

Nice! Did you modify the (L) bracket some to get it to fit? Thanks for the pics. I'm ordering it now

Part # SMA-8GL73-CD-DY
FX Fuel Caddy Set

Great set-up for sure. 1.25 gal on each side.

Good luck.
Those look great...and they fit on an Apex? Modified? How do they attach to the running boards? Desperate to safely add gas to my XTX. No room to mount the koplin or rotos and with the speeds we're running I'm out by noon. Amazon shows them back ordered until March but might be worth the wait. Any more apex info on these is greatly appreciated.

I know this is an old post but I recently bought a 2011 Apex 144 and am told it gets bad gas mileage. I searched for the caddies above but they don't seem to be made any more. What are people using to hall extra fuel on the Apex 144?

with exh diverters and using heat tape on the can by exhaust, you can run a 2 gallon roto pax or 1.5 gallon klopin on the top of the tunnel extension.

as to hard on gas, depends on trail conditions. if it is soft or fresh snow, count on under or around the 100 mi mark. of good hardpacked trails, pending flipper abuse, i usually get between 110-120 mi per tank of gas and have never run out yet. might be able to push 130-140 mi but i am not that conservative on flipper abuse. have over 22000 mi on the 11 atm and about 6500 mi on the 16. both get ridden together a lot and witch ever one i am riding is usually worse on gas by a couple of bucks every fill up.

I ran out twice last season on a bagger trip in Quebec with my ‘16 XTX, both times just shy of 200km total. I’d say about 190km is my absolute max to push it.

Ya, not hard on gas at all. If you ride with 600 Etec's it may seem so. But ride with 800 cats and you will always be the last guy to fill up.

Both of the Apex's I have owned would only vary if the snow was super deep or wet and sticky. But for the most part pretty solid

I purchased these from Travis (Barn of Parts) a few years back but just have never got around to installing them. Thought it was a nice alternative than using the rear tunnel.

i haven't really needed the gas i used to carry but there have been runs where i have had the light on for over 30 km when i got to the pump.
