I finally got around to installing my Hurricane launch control cable. The flasher needs to be connected to the control cable for LC to function. I want to be able to remove it easily, but also have it secure for when in use. Doo makes a 180mm double-sided velcro strap for securing part of their electrical harness, and I had a spare one to try out. I put two slits in the plastic, fed the strap through, and then strapped the flasher down. Looks like it is going to work well - flasher is secure and it can be removed in just a few seconds when not in use.

FYI, when those flasher are plugged in and the key is on they will stay connected until they are unplugged, even after the key is pulled out. The light is still flashing.

No power when connected and using the anti lag harness. The other harness which connects down by the chain case has power all the time and can drain battery.

So why not provide the antilag harness in all cases if one is going to keep the flasher installed on the sled for quick map changes?

look at the gap system as modular....not everyone will have a flasher....some are just tuned ecu's....and then not everyone wants the anti lag...or data logging...then theres CoPi trail...etc etc...
Lakercr , I like your setup...just not thrilled with making the holes there ...but in the goggle bag...yes!

From my understanding is it will draw down the battery if its left on there flashing over a week. A day here and there wont kill it.

My understanding as well. I'll put my meter on it before the seat goes back on and see if I can even get a reading for current draw. Regardless, I'm not worried about it.From my understanding is it will draw down the battery if its left on there flashing over a week. A day here and there wont kill it.

Can you report back please? I would like to know how much they draw and if there is anything to really worry about.

the diagnostic plug by the chaincase is live...and yes draws power ...the anti lag harness connection is NOT live and should not remain lit....if you saw a red light after ignition off...there could be a issue with the harness or the flasher and you should contact Dave or Gap as it could be an algorithm issue

Same experience I've had - no draw at all if left in anti-lag harness. I haven't checked battery draw when connected at chain case, will try to this weekend.the diagnostic plug by the chaincase is live...and yes draws power ...the anti lag harness connection is NOT live and should not remain lit....if you saw a red light after ignition off...there could be a issue with the harness or the flasher and you should contact Dave or Gap as it could be an algorithm issue

It won’t kill the battery plugged into the antilag harness mine stays there 100% of the time between asphalt races this summer sometimes weeks and never a dead batteryFrom my understanding is it will draw down the battery if its left on there flashing over a week. A day here and there wont kill it.
