Figured out why apex oil tanks crack and leak..

Mine cracked at the bottom by the bolt.. i think most people from what ive read on this website, are having problems with the tank cracking at the bottom bolt..

Sounds like yours cracked somewhere else..

Mine cracked by the bolt too, also mine only leaks when it is cold out. Even then it is a little weaping, not enought to even make it on the floor. I noticed this last season and I cleaned the tank off in the spring. When I looked at it in early fall the tank was still dry in that corner. Now it started again when it cooled off. I think it is a stress issue, if the tank was mounted in rubber mounts it would be ok. I'll have to work on this idea!
