First ride on a turbo! OMG!!!

,but oopps stuck throttle put me into this big old tree in my back yard,so back to waiting on another company for my sleds fate..ouch!

Pete, How the heck did that happen? did you forget about the emergency shutoff switch on the right hand throttle block?

The slides used to freeze on our old sleds all the time when modified airboxes used to suck in a bit of snow prior to automatic shutdown, and I'd just hit the kill switch. You may need to practice that prior to hitting the snow again, something everyone should know. Its there for that very reason.

Yes ben you said beast tuned,i remember when I first took my 13 procross lxr around my dealers big tata fields the day I picked it up,i thought it was an absolute turd compared to any of my none turboed apex sleds, and could not wait till Phil Stanley installed your stage 4 v-19 program and turboforce muffler, than we had a beast, well after the stuck primary clutch cover, and the first couple blown belts, but it was a beast on map 2 and 3 I never could run mapr 4 c-16 and shimmed wastegate to see how quickly 315 hp could snap a belt, sense on map 1 it would snap them suckers like pop cyckles, lol one thing for sure your programs do work as promised ben,do you remember mine,i had to have you reflash mine back to stock, sense cat don't care was coming out to look at mine, because it had bad leak down on rings after the 2nd year,at 2600 miles, and they ended up shoving there junk sled up my tail, stating I had a muffler TD muffler that they found over in the corner at my dealer ship, where they had it tore down to crank, and you could clearly see the warpped cylinders from heat and lack of coolant flow,pricks..so back onto Yamaha again on an ape xtx than on a new 2017 ltx-le this year, but oopps stuck throttle put me into this big old tree in my back yard,so back to waiting on another company for my sleds fate..ouch!

Warped cylinders did you badly overheat that 1100 motor?

If you're not laughing. you're crying. I'm trying to cheer up the Beast until i can make it up there & give him a big 'ol TY hug...

Now that's funny lmao
There is a cyber TY site , that is only for those who had grades above 80% in English grammar , in high school !
Unfortunately there is no body on it , and I couldnt get on !
Apparently that grade is for one semester , and not the sum of two !
I didnt read the fine print.

Beast, did you ever determine what caused the throttle to stick? Also, could you use some periods (.) in your posts so i don't run out of breath...LOL
LOL sorry steve, once I get started,i forget to add them... No dealer has no idea and not sure Yamaha does either, hope they find out.

Mike, have you sen the flat toggle switch Yamaha has put on the 17 SW,nothing like our old style pull up,slam down switch.

Kind of a little off topic but I'm taking mine out tomoro to break her in good and hard what temperature should I try not to go past and let it cool down at?

Good question....rode yesterday. Mine never went over 174° if it did get too hot. Pretty sure Yamaha has a safety that shuts the sled off.

I put 80miles on yesterday. Sled is awesome. If I had any concerns.....all washed away.

If there are flaws. They escaped my senses. Flawless.

Good luck and let us know your thoughts.

Well I went for another first short ride in the dark. I can't help myself to post on here but this thing is so dam responsive and the fun factor for me is huge from the bottom to the top. Can't even imagine what's going to happen when I throw 180 studs at it. I really like the led headlight. I had the Rockz light on my Viper so they are comparable. Anyways I will try not to post anymore first rides as they are all fun!!!!

So, finally got to try my sled in the Northwoods. Expectations exceeded in every aspect. Including fuel mileage. 13.71mpg includes a couple wot pulls.
How they treatin you on doo talk? Last I saw some where depressed over there..a few blown up, etc. I rode doo for decades....hate to hear that. My old mach z''s were pretty bulletproof out of the box.
