I rode my 07 Yamaha Attak today for the first time in NWL Michigan. Really like teh sled but my only grip is its so loud! The sled only has 1400 miles on it, but running 30mph down the trail has this real low end sound that vibrates right through my helmet almost an instant head ache. I am getting ready to go out again, but going to wear some ear plugs. Anyone else have a fix or think its way too loud! THe exhaust is stock and has no modifications to it what so ever, other than studs and pilots. Thanks for any input.

Just speed up above 30 and it goes away. I know of no fixes for this and never tried ear plugs.

Did my first ride too, 2007 Attak GT, really like the thing and forgot how much power they have . Noise seemed tolerable on mine, speeds were not an issue because of limited snow at this point. I think I'll keep for awhile!!! Can't wait for better conditions-more snow!

Earplugs do work but you can't hear your buddys when they have something to say at the next stop sign, and its hard to read lips cause of the helmet in the way. :yam:

Mp3 player works wonders. I almost always ride with mine but when I don't I can really notice the droning noise. I thinks it's more of a distraction than anything else, but whatever, it helps.

You could get a cheap baffle from NAPA where the outer diameter is similar size to the inner diameter of the stock outlets and stick them in your exhaust pipes and use that. I think Yamadog posted picts of his and said it quieted it down a lot!

Well I rode all day on the Attak. 125 miles with ear plugs and have no headache! Love the power! Its addicting. Can't wait until tomorrow. Were up in Indian River railing the trails!

Watch your speed going that way if your coming from Gaylord as speeding tickets are plentyful. It's just an old railway and is very boring ride to the bridge as high speeds are the only thing to keep you awake.

Go back to the other one. I will try blinking to freeze each frame in my mind.
