flat spot on driven roller

How many with flat spots still have the stk. ramps ? No flat spots on mine but i got rid of the stk.ramps first thing .

Kenny this discussion is on secondary rollers. Spring tension doesn't seem to matter. Some folks are trying the expensive Cat rollers but I haven't heard any feedback as of yet?
Besides I thought you gave up on the Sidewinder? Isn't it parked for the season? Ha!

yes/no My driven rollers are good also .

Do you guys think they will make a recall??? before april???

Most of hard riders on the french chat have flat spot! Except for me....lol

What I don't understand is did Yamaha test these sleds with this secondary clutch and if so wouldn't these problems have been seen on the test sleds. Maybe there is a issue with a supplier and the material they used. Wonder why some are having issues and some aren't?

Most likely some kind of rolling change at the supplier level.
Either way, Yamaha has to own up to it. Seeing how it's a wear item, that shouldn't wear out, I wouldn't have my hand out, waiting for them to drop from the sky......

Mine has 480miles on it not babied one bit and no flat spots is it slow cruising that's causing this?

I'm curious to know if all models are effected or just some of them? Early build sleds vs. later built as well. I've only got 50 miles on my RTX -SE and so far no wear that I can detect. picked up the sled November 25th

What stresses me out is this is such an easy problem to solve, and i bet you it will take more then a year to solve.. first thing Yamaha said was "break the rollers in gently" i wonder, what has Yamaha officially responded to those who sent emails for this problem. I know if you send an email to yamaha canada or Yamaha US customer service, they will answer by email.. who has sent them an email so far and what has been their response?

The test riders experienced this and reported it to the top brass at Yamaha and it was ignored

my sled was absolutely babied. 112 miles. i can't find an email, only phone in cali, which probably goes to india. i will let them know about loose turbo and flat spots, but don't want to shed bad light on dealer (good people) for the other things (fluids) that should probably be caught on set-up. can anyone answer this, the primary rollers also have the chrome or whatever coating worn down to what appears to be brass. is this normal? two of the secondary rollers have light flat spots. anyone have an email address? thanks

relax guys I'm quite sure there will be a bulletin and if it wears the helix that will get replaced as well. If not then call customer service. Squeaky wheel always gets the grease.
