flat spot on driven roller

Is there others whit that issue.mine have 200km and have a flat spot on a roller.yamaha say not cover.and back order for at least 3 weeks.i just saisd forget it and get 3 rollers from a 2015 cat driven and it fit there and work good so,have to let you know if you're in the same boat.the rollers have the same over all diameter, width, and center hole too.
Thank you, that is great info, why in GODS name would Yamaha say not covered, its there brand new clutch set up,are they trying to pull a fast one,and I am trying to get them to replace my parts for a crashed sled?

Maybe I wasn't clear. All those things I listed are 850 issues.

If Yamaha has a flat spot on one bushing, "the clutches are junk!" They all grab their spears and start chanting!
i got it when you said it. appreciate it. i went right over and read on the 850. what i meant is that they don't read forums so they won't see the blue bashing over there or even know whats going on with their 850s, so if i read em i can let them know when they start seeing problems that they aren't alone. in a nice way of course. not like "i told ya so". i don't regret my decision in the least, just lettin others know that i see the same things as they do with the winder. its all good. minor annoyances. glad folks are pointing them out to keep breakdowns to an isolated few. hopefully yamaha reads too. i hope this is at least a 20-30k mile sled. are those rollers replaceable without pulling the clutch? the primary rollers were worn to brass? in spots, is that normal? are they gonna last? not a clutch guy...thanks

theres two versions of the same part number...what did you use jon and ernie....regular or torlon?

Torlon. I used the ones I had a link to on this post. Got them today. Going on a week trip to cabin in the UP. Should have a good idea if they are good or not. Here you go SJ

went out today for 100mls run whit cat rollers and they run perfect, now ,going to give a try to dalton ramps.

This seems to be the number one issue with SW.

It's gotta be material issue if the cat rollers last.

Come on Yamaha ! Catch up and fix this !

I checked my low milage unit. Rollers show no signs of flat spots.

Thanks again........ Joe

Here is your solution....View attachment 124332
Looks like the Lenco roller cover I had on my ZRT8 back in the day. 8k+ miles on that cover and zero issues. The rollers in that cover were super hard and had a needle bearing on the pin. Firm believer in the bearing and pin setup over simply letting the roller revolve around the pin.

Some of the best clutching from CAT was that three roller cover on the secondary!
