My dual rate springs are working well. I have put @450 miles on them and don't bottom the front out like I used to. the front suspension actually seems to be working. I plan on Hygear doing a full revalve on all corners this summer--once they figure this sled out.If you want to get rid of your Floats find someone with a 2013 Cat and trade for their front shocks for yours. The 2013's had Fox Zero Pro shocks and provide a very nice ride. My buddy did this on his 2014 turbo Cat and is very pleased.

Stain, Any reason you would recommend looking for the Cat shocks as opposed to what you did. I may be able to work something out with my dealer to trade in my floats for a set of std shocks. Then I would just have to buy the springs from Hygear. Was the price reasonable? Have a local shock business that also may be able to fix me up. I guess I could get them revalved after if I wanted to.
Thanks
Thanks

We don't have the Zero pro shocks on the Viper. The Zero Pro is a nice shock and you might not need the revalve or the springs with these shocks.

Since were.on the float topic I noticed hygear makes a additional chamber for the original floats and 2's any idea if we will see these for the 3's as they.could be a decent solution to what were finding. Might save some coins on the Evol upgrade

Why the Evols. Are you in snow cross or cross country racing? Cause if you ain't racing or flying through the air all the time, those shocks would be a waste of money! If your like 98% of us we won't even use the ability of the float 3's. Me included! And I search for jumps! I'm 250 dressed and I'm real hard on my sled! But I would like a set of clicker shocks all the way around!

Just looking for another alternative for some of us that are having a hard time dialing in the floats. They work awesome in the rough stuff but leave something to be desired in the smaller junk. When lowering pressures to where the other junk works well its.not enough for the big impacts. I'm also close to 250# geared.

I don't agree. With Tim. The hi low settings along with evol let you easily tune for both a plush ride in little stuff and still take the big hits. Also allow setting ride height without affecting every other setting this allows better handling. Mine are right from a xc sled and I only weigh 145. My front end is awesome back end sucks yet but getting there.

That's weird we are the same size and I have mine set at 95 psi. And I think they could even use more. But in the little bumps kind do stiff. Well then I just drive a little faster.lol. The faster you go the less you feel. Maybe at 80 psi would be pretty good. I should loosen them up a little bit. Make it a little easier on my old body!

At 95 they can't be even moving much.

Ran about 80psi and after launching the thing a few times and landing super hard no where near bottoming. Running about 75 and am using most travel. But still not as.compliant as I would like and am considering the evol upgrade or alternative for next season. Sled is an RTX-se not sure if that matters

Your right they can be adjusted. But that's not what these shocks were made for! They are made for big bumps big jumps! Why spend 1300$ plus for shocks that you want to make plush. I is just crazy to me! I know we have had this conversation before! It's like buying a 4x4 with 35 inch tires with a 6 inch lift and only driving it on sunny days on the pavement. These shocks are made for torture and abuse! I know some people think I'm crazy for getting a turbo so I guess I shouldn't talk. But those shocks really don't make sense to me for trail riding.

Lol...trust me they move when you come down from a good jump!

Why because you can. If you think getting body slammed on every little bump is fun and wins races then you haven't ridden good suspension. Is no reason you can't have both.

Guess I just want to have my cake and eat it to.
Going to continue to work on the front pressures.to find what I like... If hygear offers there kit around the 300$ range and gives me evol like adjustability I have no problem shelling that out. Plan on shooting them an email tonight and will follow up here.

Probably right, but can you have both without any adjustments? So I can ride on a trail smooth as could be then turn off and hit a ten foot jump and have a good stiff none bottoming landing?
