Guys I was installing the mountain skis' I bought and noticed that I have some play in the front A arms. It is maybe 1/32 on the right side and about half that or 1/64 on the left side. Is this within specs or should I be getting the oil lite bushing kit from Allen soon? Gene

i would run the rest of the year and make it a summer project, i had more play then you and mine were not through bushing. you better get them from allen so you have them.

Thanks yamadog1. I didn't think it was too excessive but wanted to check. Giving it the complete look over for up coming trip.

Well it may be excessive, I took the front cover off ( hood ) and I can see the bolt actually move when I move the A arm around. Is this something I can tighten by adjusting the bolts or should I not ride it? Any quick info would help as I am supposed to be going on a week long trip this coming Saturday.

the bolts will move i thought mine were loose also but when i replaced the bushings they have a shoulder and will only tighten so far so you can't over tighten them and cause binding or bend the bulk head

Ok thanks, that's what I figured as I couldn't move them checking for end play but they moved side to side. Makes me feel better with your confirmation though. Thanks, Gene.
Theres WAY too much play from the factory.
a word of warning, the bolts in the inner A-frame will wear through the bushings(plastic) and chew into your bulkhead(expensive).
Get Ulmers bronze bushing kit.
It's another $Hundo we shouldn't have to put in our sleds, but it's cheap insurance, and it should handle better.

Thanks guys I plan on getting the oil lite bushing kit from Allen, I just wanted to make sure I'll be alright for this coming trip. If I hadn't noticed it in the process of changing to the mountain skis I wouldn't have known they were loosening up. Gene
