Well I guess I have to get glasses. I have ridden with others with glasses and they always have fogging problems. What is the best type of glasses or helmets for snowmobiling? I was thinking of sport glasses, but I am not sure. Any advise is appreciated. thanks Al

Modular for sure. I've had glasses my whole life, and a modular with the correct mask can be fog free. last year I "upgraded" my old helmet to the doo modular with electric. I don't really care for it, but I don't have fogging issues with it. Keep glasses on, then baclava, then slide helmet on in open position, then close. No damage to glasses using that method.
I bought the Yamaha Fuel Modular helmet at the Novi show. Did you get special glasses?

No, just standard. my prescription is too strong to go rimless, and rimless are less durable . I also get the bows that can flex out without breaking but I think that is standard now.

I don't wear a helmet but I think my observation still applies. My new glasses are wider than any I have had before and now that winter is upon us I am noticing a drawback ... constant inward pressure on my temples from either my balaclava or toque pressing on the arms. Never had that before with my funky little Lennon/Ghandi specs. This is just one of the drawbacks ... the other is that a may be mistaken for a fashion conscious Wall Street tycoon.

Ski Doo modular 3. Helmet on and off with glasses on. Snap breath box on, Close helmit, leave shield open one notch till glasses warm up some than close tight and you will be warm and fog free! Best helmet I have owned to date.

Are contacts an option?. Also we ride with a guy that has worn prescription goggle ( like swimmers wear) under a modular helmet. No fogging issues.

I use Pro-Vue prescription goggles with Smith Turbo Fan frames and a MX style helmet. I sweat a fair amount when mountain riding and this combo seems to work the best for me.
It's kind of a spendy set up, but I figure it's worth it if I can see better!

Been riding 20 years with glasses. Best Helmet I have found is the Ski doo Modular 2 or 3 . The BV2S works great also. Easiest No Fog is Mild liquid soap and let dry on glasses then buff off. Good to go for 3-4 hours depending on conditions, I carry a small bottle with me and just re-coat at lunch. I have a multiple open face helmets and tons of goggles. The best is the Provue prescription goggles mentioned above.

I have been riding with glasses since 1980. The best set up for me in 10 degree or lower temps is a NoFog brand mask. They do recommend to fold the nose piece when using with glasses. With warmer temps I just leave the shield up a touch to keep the air moving. I've tried modular hemets, prescription goggles, contacts ($500) that I couldn't get used to and multiple masks. The NoFog works for me. As far as the balaclavas go, I put holes in the side for the bows of the glasses to go through, eliminates pressure on the glasses. Good Luck
