Having big time starting problems

Found the starting problem after a blown starter and gear and a 1000.00 trip to our local dealer with no idea of what was going on. I took it back home and replace the ecu found corosion on the pins and replace the main wiring harness it runs like new. I took and opened up the old ecu and it was full of water WTF

That is strange. Any idea hoe the water got in?
