Sleds are looking sweet!

Well, it was a first year for my Dad and my Daughter this year. For us, the TerraCross event was it. That was worth the price of admission as far as she was concerned.

Spending quality time in the Polaris booth to meet Kody Kamm, Kyle Pallin, Levi, Burandt, Dan Adams was just icing! She thought all of those guys were awesome. She also loved meeting a former lady racer in the SkiDoo booth who had been racing since she was 6. That was a pretty inspirational discussion.

Seeing the new Yamaha YXZ with shocks the size of my leg was too cool.

Finding a wedding dress in the swap, that was just a hoot! Power shopping for a new jacket we decided she didn't need was fun too. Walking down that last random isle, to find the exact stock replacement windshield we were looking for was total luck. Thank you to the guys running the booth, as I swear they had to be TY members. I should have introduced myself.

Finding ice cold beer in the back of the truck at 4pm for a short tailgate session was MONEY!

We made the most of this day. Sorry my attached video is mostly TerraCross, but I think the shot over the drag strip as the sleds take off is pretty cool!

Enjoy!

That's awesome! Were you flying the drone? Would like to see some of the footage it took at the drags. Was flying right behind the sleds for almost all the runs.

I launched mine from the parking lot around 4pm and made a couple passes over at around 200m above. There were quite a few flying over most of the day as well. That's why I kept mine up high as to not interfere.

The one that was over the drags I think, was coming from the pits. He was actually streaming live to Youtube. Do a YouTube search for Haydays 2015 and you will see a few of them marked "live" and they are his uploads.

It's a fun hobby, but I just wanted my friends and family to see just how big it is!!

It's a amazing hobby. All you guys flying had all of us spectators talking about getting one. Thanks! I will look for the YouTube vids.

My wife and I got home a short time ago and we're just beat from hanging out for the last three days at Hay Days. Had a awesome time. The weather has me pumped for winter. It was great to meet a lot of TY'ers at our spot in the swap area that I've never met before. I wish we could have made it to the Yamaha booth on Saturday for the group photo but we had to stay put and baby sit our Sno Scoot's and other stuff in the swap meet. I'll post up some pics later after I catch up with some sleep.

It was a great time .... if I missed a few of you sorry but for once it was nice just to walk around and not be stuck in the swap.

It was great to me you and talk about your SRX for a long time. Thanks for taking the time and showing it to me and my buddy! Definitely put the inch back on me to get back on my triple.

I have invested in a great backpack/case that I can bring on sled trips. We will see how that works out. You may see some nice parking lot footage, and then packing it away instead of hauling it. My daughter rolls her eyes every time I pull it out, but is usually amazed at the video once we look at it.

All those yahoos bitching about the cost of Haydays going up over on Hardcore sledder have a fair beef. But honestly, I was happy with the value I got out of it. I compared it to the cost of going to a race like Snowcross or Terra cross. As we saw a lot of the same guys, and actually had better access to them to talk and get autographs. I sure do wish I had used some sunscreen through. Whoda thunk when leaving the house at 37 degrees.

OK, Amazing deal alert that I saw at one of the new vendors. I called this weeks ago when Klim announced that they were revamping their clothing line for 2016. This meant that the authorized dealers were allowed to discount the clothing greater than their reseller agreement normally allows. So I figured there were going to be deals to be had this year.

Maybe it was just the fact that they were "Yamaha" blue, but I found a whole rack of Klim Keeweenaw jackets in Blue, that list for $399, I bought last year for $175 on the rack for $125 each!! Like I said, I think it was just because they were blue. I was tickled at $175!! What a bargain for someone!

I saw a similiar rack. All I saw was SM and 3XL.

It was a great time! Glad I got to meet a few more TY folks. Was a lot of corporate folks at Yamaha tent. Anyone talk to some of the Japan guys? Thanks Mr.Sled for scoring us all some Yamaha goodies! Was a nice surprise.
