I'm going to warn you guys about using header wrap and these baskets. I've seen them melt the tank, burn plastic and wreck havoc on the sidewinder, time and time again. Best thing is to use stock heat shield and add an extension to the bottom of the stock shield if needed.
Header wrap works opposite of what is claimed. Airflow is needed around the header and any wrap disrupts airflow. The header needs to be open to the air so it can cool, the worst thing you can do is wrap it, it runs too hot and will melt everything around it, also the header will crack prematurely. Temps around a wrapped header are extreme and it stays hot for a long time radiating to the tank vs no header wrap.
Don't wrap the header if you want the header and the surrounding parts to last on a trail sled, you've been warned.
Also make certain to add extra insulation to the bottom of the tank.

Do yourself a favour get the extra clearance header. Been down this road the new design works awesome no issues.I gave Dave a call this morning, waiting for his reply on what to do here, I do have someone I know running same header on a Thundercat no issues, im not trying to be cheap if I have to I will get the added clearance, ill have to get back on here when I hear back from Dave and see what he wants me to do. Thanks for your reply I had no idea about the difference in the headers
