How is that your problem? They were burning down sleds, now you have to pay to have it fixed? In the real world that’s a recall, and it’s done for free.
Personally I don’t think the old style header should even be an offering. Guys bought headers then removed them because of burndowns, they were out the cost of the header or have to pay for a modification to fix the issue. Doesn’t sound like they should even be on the market?

I couldn't find the torque specs in my sidewinder manual so I went with the 18ft. lbs. listed in my RS vector manual which are bolts instead of nuts and studs.
That is why I asked.
Also when installing the v band clamp on the turbo end, torque the bolt then tap around clamp to set it in. Repeat this at least 3-4 times.
This will make sure of a good seal.

Also a little tech tip spray penetrating fluid on both flanges and v band clamp will set and also when removing. IMO

Might be a good idea to use a heat reflective product like adhesive-backed Thermo Tec Heat Barrier on chain case surfaces that are right underneath header as it goes around corner to turbo. Could keep tons of heat from heating up chain case/oil tank.

Just purchased a Hurricane extra clearance Header on the Spring discount sale.
Header looks great!
The heat shields and new brace came with it as well...I am more then happy.
I have no idea when I will get around to installing it with all the spring activity like docks, boats, motor cycles, cars, lawn mowers, ect ect.
Trust me I am not complaining!
