Keith what did the vendor recommend for clutching that sold you the pro4 clutch? They should've provided you with a baseline.

We all would like feedback on your pro4. I would talk to Terry about it, and see what he thinks for Helix. You have a unique setup compared to most here, and I know many are interested in another primary going forward, so the more info we can get on pro4 and Tapp clutches, the better.
Corner to corner, straight helix works well, and the tighter the trails even moreso IMO. Keeps turbo spooled better, the lower the angle. I'm actually liking my 37/35 more then my 39/35, which I thought worked really well. As with all setups, it's a combination of everything, and not any one component in your clutching recipe.

Dan are using the Dalton B/O with your 37/35 of a stiffer Cat spring? I am going to try the 35 with a green Cat spring tomorrow wrapped at 0-1. I will take the B/O with me in case I want to change it.

LOL...Well not so far. I got to yakking with Dale and ordered a white and also a bk/lime...but at last minute I had him hold off on sending them.Dan are using the Dalton B/O with your 37/35 of a stiffer Cat spring? I checked my updated B/O and at 6/2 was 20lbs break, and that got me thinking I want to test 10 more degrees. So 6/3 now, comes in at 24lbs break. Which is sorta what I was looking for to test. It does come back better on the stand, and I just need to get some miles on it to check temps. Also added back in a 1mm rear shim and 1mm of float.

41/35 dalton for me. Makes the motor work and she gets up and goes. I’ve tried many and this one works best for me.

Sounds interesting. Especially that 41 at the beginning. Sounds like you have tried many helix. How is the back shift with the 41/35? You notice any more engine breaking with the different helix you have run? I find the secondary spring to be a BIG factor for engine breaking. We run different primary weights. So not apples to apples. But I’m curious on your thoughts of engine breaking? I actually hear mine breaking with different settings on that secondary spring. The helix and spring in the secondary seem to really influence the engine breaking. It’s almost as if to me that closing rate of the secondary can really effect engine breaking?41/35 dalton for me. I don't ride tight twisty trails here up north so for me the back shift is fine. I run my B/O at 3-3. I've tried 6-1 and 6-2 but I feel like the secondary is fighting the primary at those tensions, I find it almost back shifts too much. If that makes sense lol. Plus I'm quicker at 3-3 so that's where she stays.

Yes it makes sense. That’s my tuning issue with my set up. We are not the same as the weights between us are not the same and for sure IMO the HH are more sensitive in weight placement and helix and spring in secondary. Not saying anything wrong with Daltons. But a gram is huge on a HH.
I find if I get to much tension in secondary(spring and or wrap) I’m fighting secondary on top. So IMO the HH can be a bit more sensitive and for sure the straight helix adds to this! I find the heavy springs in the secondary are very hard to tune with HH and a straight. It CAN be done but it’s hard for most as they feel if you drop a touch of weight off the tip or middle your slowing down. Very much a balance act. The straight is definitely more finicky and most feel you have to add more weight to go faster. But I feel lighter weights (especially HH) and a little lighter tension in the secondary is better. Most would disagree with me. It’s not surprising to me when you speak of fighting the secondary with more wrap. I think it’s overlooked a bit(depending on Helix) with most on this secondary.

It's light at 30/90. I don't have any primary roller issues like many on here do and I'm at 6500 Kms. I'm not sure if it's due to the lighter spring or not. I've been tuned for 5000 Kms.What's the rate of that Ulmer Pink?
