We got the turbo installation done on the warrior but now we cant get it to run. Im in the process of checking all the connections but so far everything is tight and I double checked everything as I did it. It idles good and starts out to run good then as soon as you hit the throttle it falls on its face and spits and sputters. It acts like its starving for fuel. When it was on the stand it seams to take throttle well and rev up but as soon as you try to ride it it chokes. Anyone got any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Do you have the mpi carb t's, or did you glue the plastic t's in? If it will Idles and falls on its face at about 4000 rpm that is about were the boost starts to build and it will go lean and cause damage if you have a leak.

Strap down your intercooler. Sounds like its lifting under load.

Its a bender stage II turbo. I glued the stock T's on but they are very tight and dont move at all. I think I have a leak but im not sure where. My intercooler is mounted solid I dont think it can move.
It is about 4000rpm that it falls flat on its face. I choked it and it picked up a little but spit and sputtered more. I checked all the connections on top of the carbs, slide vents, T's, everything I could find. My next step is to take the intercooler and seat back off and look for something?? It acts like its starving for fuel.

Could be a rag forgotten somewhere in the charge tube. Been there done that, happened to me last year after servicing the sled.

If so it falls on its face at 4000-5000 rpms. It sounds like it's starving for fuel but it's starving for air, the symptoms are the same. Just a thought.

Are you 100% positive that you have pressurized the float bowls correctly? When boost is coming on the float bowls has to be pressurized to flow the correct amount of fuel. Also check one of your spark plugs, if you're flooding it it's wet/black.

CALL JUSTIN AT FULL POWER PERFORMANCE 716-699-6299. HE TOOK OVER THE BENDER TURBO SYSTEMS...
IF THERE IS A SYMPTOM, HE HAS PROBABLY "BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT"...
Could be the fuel pressure reg not set right

Some have had a problem with a kink in the fuel line, also check lines to fuel regulator if they are crossed it can cause a problem, is the fuel regulator set correctly? 40 bucks for mpi t's best money I have spent. Does bender have the metal inserts for the t's I glued mine correctly but crushed a t and caused a block in the line.

One other way to check for leaks is to pressurize the system. I made a little inlet for the intake side of the turbo. Then used an air compressor with a pressure regulator to pressurize the system to 10 #'s or so. Then you can take your time and check for leaks. I had to do this last year and found a 2" crack in the welds under the intercooler. I wouldn't have found them any other way. This would also show you if the "T"s are really working. I would agree with getting the MPI T's.

With the air box off when I blow into the line going from the charge tube to the carbs gas squirts straight out of the carbs. I dont think there is a leak there. Im not sure about the fuel regulator how do you check it?? When I hit the throttle I can build about 2lbs of boost then it dies and spits and sputters. I have tightned every connection on the system. I found some possible leaks but fixed them all the first time through. I have been through the entire system 2 more times since then and can find nothing wrong. How do I see if the fuel regulator is set correctly?? I called Justin and left a message a little while ago. I have been in contact with him through out this process.

Does it like the choke? If you slide it on does it help or hurt it? Get some T's!!!

Look at your throttle cable. Too tight goofs up the TPS and does just what you describe.
Maybe we're going off in the wrong direction here, but....
There are two wires that run up to the throttle override system (TORS).
They have connecters in the wire harness under the hood. Check to see if one or both of these is disconnected. They should be connected.

I checked the tors connections they all are tight. It likes the choke. If I choke it it picks up for a secons but still spitts. Im gunna get the billet T's but I really dont think this problem is tied to them.

This sled was just serviced and my buddy said when he put it on the trailor to bring to my shop before we even started the turbo installation he didnt think it ran right. He just paid our local yamaha stealer over $600 for a carb cleaning and a new battery. Is it possible that something in the carbs is messed up. I talked to justin and he said 8-10lbs of air in the slide vent lines should open the slides but mine dont lift until I have about 50lbs of air into the line and then they dont open even the two on the oil tank side open to the top before the two on the clutch side but all my connections are tight.
