Went riding today in about 2 ft of powder and laid it on it's right side ,pulled the tether within 2 or 3 seconds, tipped back and now i have no oil pressure
It runs for about 5 seconds and shuts down
Tried unplugging oil pressure sensor and back in, tried disconnecting battery ,tried tipping it the other way and nothing ,does the oil pump need to be primed somehow or something reset???
Oh by the way i never lost a drop of oil

That worked thank-you it smoked for awhile but seems to be fine now
I guess if that happened somewhere remote a guy could carry a short piece of hose so you could pressurize it with your mouth

An excellent tip, I will carry a short piece of hose.

All you have to do is pull the pipe coming from the overflow valve to the air box off and plug it and then turn the motor over. It will re prime and you will be in business, no hoses or air pressure needed in the field. Once primed out hose back on and go about your ride. This isn't acceptable that this happens, we also had it happen but I was able to get it going by doing so. I can't believe yamaha didn't catch this in "testing". No wait, I can!

They never had this problem with the nytro right? I almost don't even want to pick up my self until they address this problem is this a easy fox we can do or are they gonna have to fix this by recall? I really hope this sled doesn't turn into a small list of nightmares first year sleds always have me thinking

Why did it do this ?
Is there a fix so it doesn't happen ?
What is the difference between the nytro oil tank and the cat tank to cause this to happen?

Will the rollover valve be the ticket?

I see that your sled has a turbo. Did you remove the engine or oiling system to install this? Basically what guys are going to want to know is if this problem could occur with a stock never been apart Viper used in normal conditions, or if this is an isolated incident on your modified sled.

No there was another incident in alaska where it happened to a stock engine and no motor was not apart as the mcx kit was a quick and easy install
