Not sure on the ski doo kit, but on mine I covered all 3, and used epoxy to keep them set. As far as patterns, it's probably more of what you want, if you're using stud boy studs, I, personally would use their template (and I do & did).

Thanks so far. Looks like the patterns are too cLose to the middle. someone is saying, stay 3" from middle. But that's kinda impossible. Maybe I'm suppose to split it. Like 1 1/2" off center.

I used little regard for the middle...I feel there is plenty of room as long as your studs aren't outrageously aggressive. I used 1.45...

I use liquid white out with the foam tip applicator. It cleans off the temlate easy when done.

Ok, thank-you so much guys! Just got back from Wally world. paint markers and clear silicone.
I have one protector, it's 33/34" long going to cut in into 1/3 which is approximately 11"ea. Going to try clear silicone to hold. Sound somewhat good?
One other thing.....should I heat the tip of cutting tool, with a propane torch?
I did it that way years ago? I thought it helps cauterize the track, so to speak?

I have never heated the tip it gets hot on its own if you spin it fast enough
