Help with studding!

SJ is right.... Use 1.50" studboy... I like them and had them in many sleds including my last 1200 skidoo gade. Like sj said keep them up away from the center and closest to the middle in a nice v pattern. You can go near the mid, just not dead centre. Also I seen your post on Doo talk. I would not be running 1.375. That sled has way to much power for little studs. I would be running 1.50", 144 up the middle for trail riding in a 137 track.

Could you run the 1.50 on the outside of the 3.5" and the 1.375 on the inside of the 3.5"?
Personally, just my opinion, I would say no. Not sure the middles would be of any real good, being shorter, but I'm not a studding expert either.

you could ...but why? my biggest concern in that very middle is the ballooning a track does and slamming on the brakes can bunch a track up...the fact that YAM added the vent louvres this year tells me theres a concern for snow, slush ,wet etc being pumped in ...again...I think this has to do with the new header which gets cherry red...

the thermal shock could crack the header is my theory..

theres really little missed from essentially <2" (3.5" minus the 1.5-2" center you really shouldnt stud in anyways)

Only reason I was thinking of doing that is because I already have all the 1.450 but I'll stick to my original plan to stay away from the center. I got one of the patterns from a guy on the forum that makes them sorry can't remember the user name and he said you would have to stay away from center 4" on the pattern to work properly
